Here’s something quirky. When the boys were young, anytime they got a new pair of shoes, they always slept with them on the bed for the first night….! David and Nathan really getting into it now…Nathan has ridden to Uttoxter (about 50 miles), and this week David did Macclesfield and back, only 23 miles, but with some serious hills. Now they both have a better idea of what lies ahead….

Watching: Went to the ‘Take That’ concert at Old Trafford cricket ground last night. We got absolutely drenched, standing for an hour in a torrential downpour (after all…an outdoor concert in Manchester…??) - but it was brilliant and very spectacular. Close friends and family refer to me as ‘Mr Bean’, because I share many of his characteristics - clumsy, careless, getting into ridiculous, often funny, scrapes….and out of them.
