Merry Christmas…

Just a quick note to wish all my readers - (are there any of you out there?) - a happy and safe Christmas and a successful and healthy new year.
I’m working on Monday, in Dublin, then on Tuesday we’re having an ETD team social. On Christmas Eve we invite friends and neighbours round for a drink and some eats before we all go off to our village green and sing carols round the village tree. Then it’s back to our house for more of the same. Christmas Day will be spent at home, then on Boxing Day I’ll be at Sale Sharks to watch their afternoon game against Wasps, then off to relatives for more eats and a games evening - a great night. Caroline and I were married on 29th December, so that tends to fill the gap between Christmas and the New Year. This year we’re having a couple of days in Brighton for our anniversary - then back home for new year’s eve, probably a meal out then a quiet night in with friends. And then on to 2009, which seems as though it could be challenging for everyone..

hi Arnie
Just thought I’d prove to you there is at least 1 reader out here! Was searching for inspiration which caused me to pull out ‘Building Student Attention Involvement and Recall’ which led me to googling you!!

yes thank you … i’ve taken over a class for one double a week from a staff member who couldn’t control them … am pleased to report THEY actually commented last week that they’re much better behaved now than they were when I started teaching them - but its because my lessons are interesting - so somethings worked!
