Watching: American TV does major drama series so well. I tend to buy box sets, so I can while away waiting time at airports and train stations engrossed in these dramas. I have ‘Lied to Me’ lined up next, but have just finished the absolutely brilliant ‘Mad Men’. Brilliant cast and storylines, with the highest production values - the sets and costumes (men and women) are to die for…
Listening: I am becoming an ever increasing fan of Ryan Adams. He has a unique and captivating voice, sweet and raw at the same time, and his songs are riveting and sparse. Just got hold of an earlier album, ‘Love is Hell’, and though all tracks are worth a listen, ‘Shadowlands’ and in particular ‘Chelsea Hotel Nights’ are simply stunning.
