top 10s

So, that’s another year gone, and as I sit here snowed in with a wonderful winter wonderland outside, I’ve time to look back on the year just gone.  These are my personal highlights of 2009:

1: top of the list is the boys’ brilliant charity bike ride, from Viet Nam to Cambodia.  Congratulations to David and Nathan, and for the £12,500 raised for Regain.

2: Sunrise walk: at last, a beautiful day, and a wonderfully scenic and varied walk.  Pity about day two though (the weather reverted to type and it poured down!)

3: personal coaching success: as part of my job I offer ‘get that job!’ coaching to individuals, and one highlight was helping a client to the role of Principal of a London college

4: Wembley Bowl: as an avid American Football fan, a highlight of recent years has been the first class game between two NFL teams at Wembely each October.  Last year was no exception, with the added bonus for me of seeing the team I support - NE Patriots - who thrashed the Tampa Bay Bucs

5: Trip to Guernsey - fab island, and the best fish and chips I have ever tasted, anywhere…

6: Bentley production line - Bentley Motors is another of my clients, and it’s been great watching these luxury cars being made

7: Mexico - and in particular their iguanas and their breakfasts (not related….)

8: Green Day at the MEN Arena: we love going to live gigs, and this was the best of 2009 for me.  Catch them if you can…

9: Mary Poppins ‘failed magic’: a genuinely great show, but given especial magic when the harness carrying the sweep got stuck, and he had to be rescued by two stagehands with a ladder….

10: Nambodia Fundraising Day: back to the bike ride again, and a very special day, not least because it was easily the best day weatherwise of a miserable summer!  A great team effort, happy memories, and a job well done…

It would be great to have your highlights of 20009 - just leave them in the comment box below…
