Top 10 sixties tracks
Sat, May 9, 2009
Just wanted to do this - so I can change my mind later.
Before reading - what would yours be?
What might be in my list?
How to choose…should it be:
- personal memories and associations?
- the best representative of that kind of music?
- great for the dance floor?
- or simply….THE BEST!
If I show you mine, will you show me yours??
So here goes…not necessarily in priority order.
- Anyhow, Anyway, Anywhere - The Who
- Don’t Bring Me Down - The Pretty Things
- Da Doo Ron Ron - The Crystals
- It’s Over - Roy Orbison
- Out of Time - Chris Farlowe
- A Hard Day’s Night - The Beatles (pick any one from 20!)
- Tobacco Road - Nashville Teens
- Hey Joe - Jimi Hendrix
- You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me - (The incomparable) Dusty Springfield
- Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones
OK, OK….what have I left out??…AND is BETTER than these…?!?! Let me know!!

There’s so much to choose from.
I might have chose something from The Kinks, Spencer Davis Group, The Hollies and Bob Dylan.
